Shmuel Sorek is a highly-regarded business leader in Israel, with over 40 years of successful accomplishements in running, supervising, and rehabilitating industrial and commercial enterprises in Israel's private and public sectors, as well as extensive voluntary service with nonprofit organizations.
After receiving his Mechanical Engineering degree from Ben Gurion University of the Negev, earlier in his career, Shmuel filled key positions with Israel Military Industries, eventually rising to the position of Plant Manager.
As part of his public activity, Shmuel served for seven years as chairman of the Israel Chamber of Engineers and Architects. He is also a former chairman of the Association of Descendants of Holocaust Survivors in Israel and currently serves as a member of the executive committee of Israel's Center for Holocaust Survivor Organizations.
A former battalion commander with the Israel military, Shmuel also has extensive experience in working with the nation's government ministries, legislative authorities, and municipalities, as well as public and academic institutions.
